Dr. Zhou received her B.S. in Biochemistry at Fudan University (Shanghai, PR China), M.S. and Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.  Following postdoctoral training in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, she moved to the University of Mississippi and joined the National Center for Natural Products Research (NCNPR) in 1998.  She was appointed as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacognosy / Research Scientist in 2005.  In 2007, she was appointed as a Research Assistant Professor of Pharmacognosy.
