Jerome P. Skelly, Ph.D. is the 2005 President of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) and Adjunct Professor of Biopharmaceutics at the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy.
Dr. Skelly received his undergraduate degree and his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Wayne State University in Detroit, and completed a post-doctorate in Pharmaceutics at the University of California at San Francisco. He held senior scientific and management positions in FDA for more than 24 years, much of it as director and program manager for biopharmaceutics. He was also a World Health Organization consultant to Egypt. At the time of his retirement, Dr. Skelly served as a member of the U.S. Federal Government's Senior Executive Service holding joint appointments as Deputy Director of CDER's Office of Research and Associate Director for Science in the Office of Generic Drugs (OGD). Throughout his career, Dr. Skelly has received notoriety from AAPS for his contributions to pharmaceutical science including being selected as an AAPS Fellow and awarded the 2002 AAPS Distinguished Service Award.

James W. McGinity, Ph.D
James W. McGinity Ph.D is Professor and Division Head of Pharmaceutics in the College of Pharmacy, The University of Texas at Austin.
Dr. Mcginity received his Ph.D. in Physical Pharmacy in 1972 from the University of Iowa and joined the Squibb Institute for Medical Research as a research scientist until his appointment at University of Texas in 1976, where he now holds the Johnson and Johnson Centennial Chair in Pharmacy. Professor McGinity’s research interests and publications are in the areas of Physical Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology. He has been issued fifteen U.S. patents and currently has many others in review. His research emphasis is on novel drug delivery systems including solid dosage forms, microencapsulation, powder technology, transdermal systems and hot-melt extrusion. He has published in Science, Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Development and Technology, Journal of controlled Release, Pharmaceutical International Journal of Pharmaceutics and Journal of Microencapsulation. During his tenure at the University of Texas, twenty-three Ph.D. students have graduated under his supervision. In addition, he has supervised thirty-one post-doctoral fellows and visiting scientists. Professor McGinity is USA Editor for the European Journal of Pharmaceutics and Biopharmaceutics and has been a consultant to the FDA and to many pharmaceutical and chemical companies both in the USA and Europe.

Masood Chowhan, Ph.D is Director, Formulation Development/Consumer Products,
Alcon R&D Consumer Products, Alcon Laboratories.
Dr Chowhan received his Masters and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics in 1978 and 1982 respectively from the University of Mississippi, an alumni of the host for PharmForum 2005-University of Mississippi. He served as a Sr Scientist and as a project leader for various projects in Alcon R&D Lens Care, Alcon S&T,Alcon R7D Pharm etc till 1988 when he was appointed as a Director/Associate,
Alcon R&D Lens Care and he now holds
Alcon R&D Consumer Products, Alcon Laboratories Director. Dr Chowhan's reserach interests and publications are in the areas of Ophthalmic
Consumer Products formulation,
product/lens compatibility etc. He has been issued fourteen U.S. patents and has many in review. His research is focussed on contact lens and ophthalmic compositions. He has published in several journal and has written books on Contact Lens Care Products.
