The Medicinal Plant Garden, open year round, is located on the west side of the campus, adjoining the Coy Waller Laboratory Complex on Hathorn Road. Two greenhouses, a shade house and over 45 raised beds cover two acres, providing space for over 1000 species. The cold storage facilities hold seeds of several hundred species. Anually, biomass from selected species is harvested, dried and ground onsite in preparation for furthur research at the National Center for Natural Products Research.
