Ronald F. Borne Distinguished Lecture


The Annual Ronald F. Borne Distinguished Lecture honors longtime faculty member Ronald F. Borne for his teaching, research, and service contributions to the Department of Medicinal Chemistry, where he was a Professor and Chair. He also served as the University's acting Associate Vice Chancellor for Research and Acting Dean of the Graduate School in 1985-86, Interim Associate Vice Chancellor for Research in 1997-98 and Interim Vice Chancellor for Research in 1998-2001. He retired from the University in 2004.


Duane D. Miller, Van Vleet Professor of Medicinal Chemistry and associate dean at the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy, is to deliver the 5th annual Ronald F. Borne Distinguished Lecture in Medicinal Chemistry Tuesday (March 31) at the University of Mississippi.

He will lecture on "Discovery of Tissue - Selective Nonsteroidal Androgens" at 11 a.m. in Centennial Auditorium of the Thad Cochran Research Center. The lecture, sponsored by the Department of Medicinal Chemistry in the UM School of Pharmacy, is free and open to the public.
