* The 15 hours of nonprofessional electives must include 6 hours of social or behavioral sciences and 9 hours of humanities and fine arts as defined by The University of Mississippi, with a minimum of 3 hours in each of these two general areas. Performance course credits are acceptable. Correspondence courses are accepted as elective credit (humanities, fine arts, social science, behavioral science, etc.).

+ A two-semester laboratory sequence required of either biology majors or of pre-med students at
the institution of residence is required. The sequence must be completed at the same institution.
